Ecological Site Description Field Day: Friday, October 27, 2023. Leahy Junction, WA

Presenter, Kevin Guinn, NRCS State Range Conservationist (Ret.) and eastern WA Ecological Site Describer Extraordinaire
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:
     1. A better understanding of ecological sites and and how one eco site differs from other ecological sites
     2. State and Transdel (STM) – difference between states and community phases, between community pathways and transitions
     3. Importance of Major Land Resource Areas (MLRAs).  Eco sites are grouped by MLRA
     3. Ecological sites – provide foundational information; a great communication tool
  • Time: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Come prepared.  We’ll be far from amenities.  Porta-potty on site.
  • What to bring? cap, lawn or folding chair, field clothing, camera, notepad and pen, water and lunch
