The purpose of the rangeland photo contest is to have some fun while augmenting the PNW Section’s photo library with photos that can be used on its website and in its online and printed communications. Photo’s must be taken by the submitter within the geographic boundaries of the Section.
Submission Period: June 15-November 15, 2026
Up to 3 photos may be submitted in 2026. If you have more, save them for next year.
Prizes
State/Province prizes. Free annual SRM membership awarded for the best submission from a photographer residing in, working in, or studying in each state or province within the PNW Section: OR, WA, BC, AK. Entries are welcome from SRM members and non-members alike.
Grand prize. $500 Professional Development stipend to be used for meeting attendance, special study, skill building, or other professional development activity. Grand prize will be only awarded only to current SRM members. Grand prize may be awarded for one of the State/Province entries or for a separate entry.
Photographers grant PNW Section SRM unrestricted use of their submitted photos in accordance with the contest stated purpose.
Judging. Photos will be judged by 1st Vice President Derek Marin and a committee of his choosing. Judges are not eligible to submit photo entries.
