Tom joined SRM in the mid-1980’s when he was working for Washington State
university as a Livestock Extension Agent in Davenport, WA and continues as an
emeritus member today. He has lived long enough that his SRM colleagues consider
him a “long hauler,” which really means “old timer,” not an over-the-road truck driver,
although “over the hill” might be an apt description. Tom holds rangelands, the people
who care for them, and SRM close to his heart. It is with humility and gratitude that he
receives this recognition. PNW SRM Section has been blessed to have Tom among our
membership as he uses his talents to manage our budget, assist with Zoom meeting
management, posts membership notices, and assists in updating our Bylaws to meet
current needs, and so much more.
